Enterprise Security Engineer

The incumbent is responsible for the administration and maintenance of a wide variety of Information Security/IT Compliance functions including, but not limited to:
• External/Internal Firewall Administration
• Security Infrastructure Support
• IT Compliance
• Change Control
• Audit Interface
• IDS/IPS Administration
• Vulnerability Assessment
• Application Security Architecture/Design
These responsibilities include configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the aforementioned platforms through careful analysis, development, and tuning. The Security Engineer will often work with cross-functional teams to review and evaluate system architecture with regards to industry best practices, with all relevant regulatory requirements in mind. The Security Engineer will also work within a broader tech support team to analyze & troubleshoot problems as they occur.
• Firewall Administration – Proficiency with Firewall Administration functions including Check Point configuration & troubleshooting
• Security Infrastructure Support – maintain and support all Security related infrastructure components (Netscaler ADC, RSA Authentication Manager, web filtering, email security, etc.)
• IT Compliance – Proficient with various regulatory compliance programs (SOX, GLBA, HIPAA) as well as familiarity with IT General Control methodologies
• Change Control – Proficient with common change control practices as they relate to both infrastructure and application change processes
• Audit Interface – Be able to serve as a department liaison to internal/external audit functions
• IDS/IPS Administration – Proficient with Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention tools. Review and respond to alerts in order to ensure continuing security of networks and systems. Maintain IDS/IPS configurations
• Vulnerability Assessment – Experience in a variety of vulnerability assessment tools in order to assess and address weaknesses in infrastructure and applications
• Application Security Architecture/Design – Knowledgeable about current practices around network and application security practices. Should be able to proficiently communicate with a cross-functional team in order to implement systems that are adequately secured
