The main objective of the Account Manager role is to grow and develop into a full-fledged Account Executive after thorough training and development to set you up for success. During the training period, you will own a book of merchants while learning the business and developing as a professional sales representative. You will:
Serve as the business contact and resource for approximately 100 current merchants who are not already maintained by a retention specialist to learn more about our business,
Drive your own development through online sales, industry, and professional training,
Actively participate in job shadowing to learn more about our product and sales pitch,
Once established, you will be expected to regularly conduct cold calls into potential merchants to establish presentation meetings,
Build strong relationships with the corporate support team, and
Seek regular coaching and mentoring from the Regional Manager and other team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Driving a self-directed development program to enhance your knowledge of Rewards Network’s history and products, the restaurant industry, consultative selling, pricing our product offerings, as well as key competencies to acquire new accounts
Responsible for customer management and renewals as assigned
Reviews business intelligence reporting tools and provides insights and implications to the customers as well as consultation on possible solutions/ideas to grow their business or address issues
Ensures customer content on website is accurate and updated as needed per the Customer Management outline
Collaborates with Account Executives to ensure consistent and effective management of customers
Notifies Account Executives of business leads which may include referrals from current customers and/or sightings of new restaurants in the area
Owns customer deletion process per the Customer Management outline
Delivers Account Manager objectives as defined by organization
Knowledge & Experience:
- Restaurant background preferred
Ability to drive an automobile and perform work from multiple locations
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Possesses solid teamwork, judgment, presentation, mathematical and decision making skills
Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
