The ideal candidate will have experience modeling and texturing assets from a wide range of environment art styles. This artist should have a strong art foundation background, which includes the understanding of form, color, light, etc. for both 2D and 3D art mediums. This artist must have skillful working knowledge of Maya, Photoshop, Mudbox, Z-brush, etc. Teamwork is an important quality in our studio's culture. We expect all artists to have a good positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and passionate.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The environment artist will be expected to create single player and multi-player levels under the direction of the art director and the creative director

Environment artists will also be expected to collaborate with the level designers to ensure a perfect union of game play and art.

The environment artist will be expected to work under the project's defined best practices, metrics and art pipelines.

The environment artist will be expected to UV map, and texture entire levels to a high quality standard.

The environment artist will insure that the level works on all relevant platforms, Xbox 360, PS3.

Experience creating photorealistic set pieces, props, textures, and materials on next gen console platforms.

A minimum of 4 years full-cycle console game experience in modeling, texturing, and shading environment assets.

Two or more published games in an Environment or Prop Artist role.

Ability to show examples of top notch props and textures made for next gen console games.

Work well in a large team environment, be proactive, and have excellent communication skills.

Master level experience creating clean and efficient models with proper UV layouts inside Autodesk Maya.

Master level experience using Adobe Photoshop to create photorealistic textures for next gen materials based on concepts and/or photo reference.

Zbrush experience for high-res sculpting and transferring of material maps to in-game mesh.

Deep understanding of next gen materials and shaders and is able to achieve the desired surface qualities needed across a variety of environment assets.

Skilled at balancing art quality and performance in the game engine.

A passion for making great games.

Organic modeling and texturing experience in Mudbox

Experience with Radiant, Unreal, or a similar level building package
