ARCADIS is seeking an engineering professional to serve as the technical lead on environmental and safety regulatory compliance projects and to develop new client relationships in California. This position could be located in the Emeryville, CA office or the San Jose, CA office.

Duties will include:
  • Interpreting state and federal environmental and safety regulations.
  • Communicating with regulatory agencies.
  • Visiting industrial facilities to conduct EH&S inspections and audits.
  • Preparing technical reports, response plans, and permit applications.
  • Leading project teams, delegating assignments, and reviewing reports for quality assurance.
  • Meeting with clients and responding to requests for proposals (RFPs).
Additional information:
  • Must have experience with California EH&S requirements, especially safety, risk management, air quality, storm water, hazardous materials, and hazardous waste.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010
  • Experience with electric utilities preferred.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum years of experience: 5
  • Education required: BS in an Engineering discipline
  • Skills required: Must have experience with California EH&S requirements to include safety, risk management, air quality, storm water, hazardous materials, and hazardous waste.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Years experience preferred: 8
  • Education preferred: MS in an Engineering discipline
  • Registrations/Certifications preferred: EIT, PE, 40 hour HAZWOPER, QSD/QSP
  • This position does require travel. Travel amount is up to 50% locally.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • This position does not manage others.
