ARCADIS, in Knoxville, TN is seeking a full time Field Technician to assist on a growing number of projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

This full-time technical position involves the execution of environmental field work related to compliance, assessment, and remediation project tasks. Ability to work with team members for the completion of field assignments will be important, including the ability to conduct work within scope, schedule, quality criteria, and budget. Experience in environmental field methods for the collection and evaluation of environmental data from is required. Position will include soil sampling, groundwater sampling, drilling oversight, oversight of construction activities, use of injection remediation systems, etc. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems a plus. Position will require extensive travel estimated at 95%+ across Tennessee and the Southeast US. Local candidates only; no candidate travel or relocation available for this position.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum years of experience: 2
  • Education required: HS Diploma
  • Registrations/Certifications required: Current OSHA 40-Hr HAZWOPER certification
  • Skills required: Must be experienced in the sampling of all environmental media, be a problem solver and able to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Years experience preferred: 5+
  • Education preferred: Associates degree or other pertinent professional/vocational education
  • Registrations/Certifications preferred: AHERA Asbestos Inspector, TDEC Level I CPESC, NFPA 70E training
  • Skills preferred: CDL license and Remediation System Maintenance and repair
  • This position does require travel. Travel amount is 95%+.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • This position does not manage others.
