The EHS Manager will provide leadership in the development and implementation of management systems necessary to ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements affecting our facility and to evaluate and ensure their effectiveness over time. Additionally, this individual is responsible to provide leadership with projects and initiatives intended to advance and support the environmental, health and safety policy and priorities.
This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related field with 4-5 years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Requires knowledge of regulatory compliance (i.e. EPA, OSHA, DNR). Also this position requires the ability to effectively provide interactive coaching to production personnel in the performance of their duties as well as effective mentoring to supervisors in developing coaching applications to help them coach their employees in safe work behaviors.
The responsibilities for this position include but are not excluded to:
Identifying and communicating trends as well as the development and implementation of plans to address them.
Developing training programs and resources to execute these programs as well as to facilitate and/or execute safe work training.
Act as site case manager for workers compensation case management including the return to work program.
Resource management of site hazardous materials, safety and health equipment
