In conjunction with the College wide Safety Committee, and the College's Academic Safety Officer, the Environmental Health and Safety Officer evaluates hazards, campus building systems, regulatory requirements, and best practices to develop and implement programs that reduce risk and promote workplace safety. The Environmental Health and Safety Office applies technical knowledge to identify high-risk activities and formulate policies, recommendations, training and written programs to ensure worker safety and regulatory compliance. Works with key stakeholders in managing workplace risk and has the authority to create policy, ensure policy compliance and grant exceptions to policy to protect health and safety.
Bachelor's Degree with a primary focus in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Physical Sciences or Environmental Health and Safety.
