The EHS Intern continues his or her education by assisting the site EHS leader in the development and implementation the facility’s EHS Program
This position can also interact directly with the employees, supervisors and engineers at the site and can also interact with the Regional EHS Director in the execution of division EHS projects.
Key Accountabilities – Working Under the Direction of an EHS Manager
Complete assigned EHS improvement projects on time
Present the results of these projects to the site management team.
Participate in all areas of the sites EHS program with an emphasis on providing value to the site and at the same time learning how class room knowledge can be applied in a manufacturing environment. Some of the areas include:
Preparing and updating JSAs and work instructions
Incident investigations including 5-why root cause analysis
Conducting IH sampling
Ergonomic and Machine Guarding assessments
Execution of the site’s EHS Action Plan
EHS Management of Change reviews
Key Metrics
Completing assigned projects on time

Job Requirements
Pursuing a B achelor of Science Degree in a safety or environmental field.
Strong oral and written communication skills
