This position supports multiple US & Canadian Fertilizer plants and terminals as a lead technical resource for environmental air permitting and compliance. This role will manage multiple projects, utilizing internal and external consultants, to achieve timely air permitting of projects and implementation of air compliance programs. Working with the Environmental Compliance Director, this role will assist facility environmental professionals in completing applicability determinations and in proactively managing the air permitting process from conceptual design to project completion. The role will routinely interact with plant environmental compliance managers and with other members of plant management teams, along with corporate engineering, legal, and business leaders.
Working experience in other environmental media may also provide opportunities for the person in the role to support the business in the water and/or waste areas.Requirements: 7+ Years of environmental air compliance and permitting experience in manufacturing, chemical, refining operations, or related fields including:o Environmental permitting (PSD/NSR, TVOP, State programs) o NSPS, MACT o Regulatory Agency Interactiono Project Management Ability to effectively balance multiple projects and priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Project Management B.S. Degree in Environmental / Engineering or related science discipline Approximately 30% travel anticipated Ability to wear emergency escape respiratory equipment in plant environmentWork Experience & Skills Preferred: Corporate or multi-site environmental compliance support Greenhouse gas program experience Experience in the water and/or waste environmental areas Experience using software applications and databases BS Degree in science discipline We are an equal opportunity employer.
