Position: ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST CONTRACTOR SUPPORT (EPCS)

Technical Support – The EPCS shall provide technical, financial and environmental expertise to support government personnel with inputting data and generating reports from EPRWeb and other Navy technical and financial databases. The EPCS shall also assists with the development of procedures to implement CNIC-NAVFAC process improvements and participate in internal quality control reviews to improve the quality and reliability of environmental documentation. The EPCS shall assist government personnel with financial analysis needed to coordinate environmental budget submittals. The EPCS shall assist with the environmental database management packages, NEPA documentation, and correspondence with environmental regulatory agencies. The EPCS shall provide written recommendations to Government personnel. The ECSCS shall provide daily reports to summarize efforts
Meetings/Conferences – The EPCS may participate in meetings with Contractors, regulatory agencies, clients, and team members, and prepare meeting notes.
Briefings – The EPCS may participate in briefings. The EPCS may be required to prepare and deliver briefs to Government personnel.
Updates - The EPCS shall provide written project updates as required in the applicable database or document.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
The EPCS must have practical experience working in the planning, budgeting, programming and execution of the following Environmental Quality programs: Environmental Compliance (EC), Natural Resources (NR), Cultural Resources (CR), Pollution Prevention (P2) and NEPA. The EPCS must have expereicne utilizing the Navy technical and financial databases, including but not limited to Environmental Program Requirements Website (EPRWeb), Facilities Information System (FIS), ieFACMAN, and Single Platform Maximo. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.
Applicants must also have a:
Valid driver's license.
Strong communication skills in the English language, both written and oral.
U.S. citizenship or resident alien. Proof of US Citizenship or resident alien card will be required.
U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) certification and appropriate refresher (if needed).
Ability to perform regular and recurring field inspections, investigations, or surveys in which there is a considerable amount of walking, stooping, bending, and climbing.
Ability to perform work in an office setting, with occasional visits to construction sites. Work involves moderate risks of discomforts that require adherence to safety precautions.
Ability to acquire a Common Access Card (CAC).
