has been providing environmental consulting services to the Fannie Mae National Property Disposition Center (NPDC) since 1999 on REO properties
impacted by various environmental issues. Such concerns include, but not
limited to, mold/water damage, clandestine drug labs, USTs, dumping or spills
of various hazardous materials, asbestos, lead paint, biological contamination,
septic closures, etc. Responsibilities for the Project Scientist position
include: ongoing communication with our client, ensuring adherence to
local/state/federal guidelines and regulations, and working with Fannie Mae’s
local real estate brokers to control costs, provide environmental guidance, and
expedite the resale cycle of the REO process. This also includes
obtaining qualified contractor bids, reviewing for appropriate scope of work
and appropriate qualifications/experience. The position would require
start-to-finish monitoring of each REO property, ensuring quality control of
clean up and documentation process so Fannie Mae objectives are achieved.
Experience Requirements :
5 – 10 years experience in varied environmental consulting fields
Experience managing high-volume
Educational Requirements :
Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science or comparable.
