Through coordination with the Director of Environmental Services and Assistant Director of Environmental Services, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of the Environmental Services (EVS) provided and for the ongoing assessment and improvement of all services provided by department during the assigned shift/s. Responsibilities encompass the integration of these services into the overall functioning of Northwest Texas Healthcare System. The supervisor will establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments and his/her staff by providing a unified approach to providing patient care. The shift supervisor will also be expected to have the capability and to perform the duties expected of EVS staff supervised. This position supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups .

Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: · High School or equivalent diploma
· EVS/Healthcare experience is preferred but other industries will be considered
· Will be skilled in directing and motivating employees
· Provide effective oral and written communication skills, having the ability to work well with others at all levels.
· Must have detailed organization and prioritizing skills with the ability to train; teach, show and follow-up on all assignments, when necessary.
· Ability to interpret and follow technical instructions and complete assignments on a timely basis; showing a sense of urgency
· Must be willing to work a variety of shifts and rotating weekends
