The Department of Crop and Soil Environmental Science is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Environmental Specialist, Urban Nutrient Management. This position promotes and negotiates Water Quality Cooperative Agreements with lawn service companies and fertilizer retailers, and serves to educate and train nutrient management planners in the turf and landscape category in developing certified nutrient management plans for golf courses, athletic fields, office parks, and other non-agricultural areas dealing with nutrient use and management.
Successful candidate must have a M.S. in Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences, Turf; experience working in the turf and landscape industry; experience giving presentations, organizing events, and preparing materials for training purposes; ability to effectively interact with diverse groups of people; ability to travel frequently; ability to follow and interpret policies, procedures, and regulations. Must have a valid drivers license.
Experience as a nutrient management planner in the turf and landscape industry.
