Role: Epic Clinical Informaticist (Ambulatory Cert) Consultant

The Informatics Group is searching for a consultant for a 6+ month consulting opportunity in California.

JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Informaticist designs and implements system solutions to improve health care services and the health of the patient. They provide expertise and support to highly visible, sensitive, and multi-faceted clinical projects and are responsible for the successful turnover of projects to production. The Clinical Informaticist works closely with the medical staff to incorporate workflows into system design and keeps current on new system functionality that will improve system acceptance and usage and strengthen the clinician-patient relationship. The position is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and support duties of clinical systems within the Clinical Information Systems department.

Required skill set is as follows:

- Epic Ambulatory Certification
- 3+ years experience in a Clinical Informaticist type role
Knowledge in fundamentals of hospital organization, management techniques, JCAHO, HIPAA and Title 22 requirements. Understanding of health care patient administration, clinical and business systems.
Strong computer skills and experience with clinical information systems development and/or implementation. Demonstrated ability to develop and write policies and procedures and to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
Effective verbal and written communication, ability to prepare concise, detailed reports and oral presentations to a broad spectrum of individuals and groups including senior management, physicians and health care professionals.
Demonstrated level of integrity and trust, capable of maintaining confidential information. Demonstrated customer service focus, ability to self-motivate and self-direct, balance competing priorities and critical thinking, analysis and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to perform in a team environment, utilize effective team relationship skills and interact at all levels of the organization.
Bachelor's Degree
Informatics, Nursing Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Care, Business or equivalent work-related experience
- Must be able to travel Monday - Thursday
- This will be 100% on-site.

This position will have an early July start date and 6 mo+ initial contract.
