Drives planning and implementing equipment improvements (PM procedures, upgrades)
Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians.
Maintains and updates operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
Reviews the operation of Fab equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Establishes and maintains a maintenance management system for tracking PMs, and spare parts. Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and drive implementation of a MRP system for automated ordering.
Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving Fab operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
Ensures that maintenance team are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency, improve yield and/or reduce operating costs.
Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as uptime, maintenance cost, PM compliance, MTTR, MTBF, etc.
Coordinates activities with Fab Operations team and all key stakeholders.
Participate in objective setting, plan development and performance review of Fab performance.
Initiates, implements, and manages the Fab maintenance program based on best practices in the semiconductor industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling, preventive/predictive maintenance and driving a continuous improvement mindset.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS (include Education, Skills & Experience):
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or equivalent (Military, years of experience)
At least 10 years of equipment maintenance experience in semiconductor/solar processing including hands-on experience with Ebeam,, RIE, RIE/ICP, PECVD vacuum systems, Mask aligner and Lapping/Saw.
Strong analytical capacity and diagnostic ability. Thorough knowledge of PLC and advanced troubleshooting
Strong People Management/Leadership Skills
An understanding of statistical methods used in manufacturing. Hands-on experience with DOE, SPC is required.
Experience with Vendor Management/sourcing.
