We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic Equipment Usage Supervisor who will proactively manage, monitor, and administer equipment needs for tradeshow events as well as work with warehouse and show-site staff to ensure equipment needs are met. Other responsibilities will include:
Study production schedules, labor budgets and estimating worker hour requirements to ensure appropriate equipment levels are maintained as well as evaluate inter-branch transfers to ensure transfer methods are cost-effective.
Recommend measures to improve production, performance, and quality of equipment, and suggest changes in the use of equipment to increase efficiency of department, or crew.
Lead employees by maintaining high morale and work standards and building teamwork among the department.
Develop and run reports in relevant computer systems to monitor equipment need and location.
Confer with warehouse staff to ensure all equipment is pulled, labeled and manifested for proper distribution at show-site.
Work with Lead Operation Supervisor to populate rollover equipment on load lists and to facilitate equipment roll over execution at show-site.
Assist with annual company inventory of equipment and provide recommendations for capital expenditures relating to operating equipment, as well as manage expendable inventory needs on show-site to maximize usage of materials and control on-site costs.
Work with Operation Supervisors while at show-site to properly coordinate and monitor equipment inventory levels, as well as provide post show recap of equipment used for event.
Establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Best Practices as well as proactively develop, test, and share process improvements for equipment usage.
Now that you know what this position does, do you have the background to do the job?
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of experience and education
At least two (2) years in a warehouse environment, running an established equipment usage program, and tradeshow industry experience
Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience with non-exempt union and non-union personnel including leads and laborers
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changes and time sensitive equipment needs
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as customer service skills in order to work successfully with clients and general public
Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
Must have organizational and analytical skills as well as be self-motivated with ability to lead
