As an equity analyst, you would be joining the international growth equity team based in
. Founded in 1997, the international growth equity team helps manage a portion of the highly ranked PNC International Equity Fund (PIUIX) which is in increasingly high demand in both the retail and institutional space
Your responsibilities will broadly consist of analyzing foreign based companies, monitoring existing holdings, supporting the operational requirements of the team, and assisting with macro economic research and analysis.
You will report to the managing director of the team while working closely with the junior portfolio manager and analyst
The equity analyst would join a highly successful and seasoned investment team. They would work closely with the portfolio manager and analyst in reviewing publically traded companies and macro economic factors utilizing our proven growth investment philosophy and process within a top down country allocation framework
The vast majority of time would be spent doing extensive fundamental research on companies with a regional focus. Other tasks include monitoring existing holdings in the portfolio, managing cash levels of the portfolio, and assisting with trading.
In this role, the equity analyst will utilize FactSet, Bloomberg, Excel and other fundamental research tools as a supplement to your individual security analysis skills.
The analyst position requires someone who is a self starter, is detail oriented, and possesses excellent writing and communication skills. They must be comfortable working on their own and displaying initiative within a faster paced three-person investment team. They must be able to collaborate with others and be able to shift tasks and focus quickly when required. Initially, this position will likely have minimal direct client contact, but over time will require the ability to contribute and support quarterly conference calls and to participate in institutional and wealth management investment meetings.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- 1-3 years of relevant investment experience strongly preferred
- pursuing MBA and/or CFA preferred
- Foreign language preferred
- Highly competitive, good analytical skills, well organized and efficient, self motivating, desire to collaborate with other team members, and the ability to think independently and critically as well as communicate ideas in both verbal and written form.
