Duties and Responsibilities:
-Operates various process controls and machinery and makes adjustments as required to maintain process operation within required performance units
-Ensures that all equipment is functioning properly and makes adjustments where necessary to ensure that the product is meeting established standards
-Follows standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, safety and quality standards are being met to achieve corporate and plant goals and objectives
-Solves and troubleshoots operating problems and notifies supervisors of any problems
-Ensures that operating parameters are maintained within required limits
-Provides information and direction to Field Operators as necessary to ensure smooth operations throughout the plant
-Monitors equipment and machines and coordinates minor repairs and preventative maintenance when required
-Receives results from the Quality Assurance Lab and Field Operators to make necessary corrective adjustments to plant operating parameters
-Follows all safety and health requirements in the plant
-Ensures sanitation and food safety requirements are maintained
-Provides feedback on any areas of deficiency. Reports all safety and environmental concerns
-Records production information on daily shift reports and identifies any problems associated with production
-Assists in training new employees in the plant
-Participates in and/or supports emergency response team activities
-Provides coordination and direction to Field Operators
-Maintainin required training qualifications

Rate of pay: $20.84


High School Diploma or equivalent required.
On the job training will be provided
Must have ability to learn process operating parameters and control system operation to ensure safety and environmental protection standards are maintained while maximizing plant production yields, follow detailed operating procedures to maintain operating parameters within established limits and respond to off normal conditions in a controlled and systematic manner, ability to assess and utilize detailed and sometimes complex data to develop response and corrective actions to off normal operating conditions, coordinate Field Operators activities while maintaining oversight and control of plant operation, maintain focus/respond to alarms/off normal conditions through use of computer based digital control system.

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

Associates Degree preferred.
