Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in the research, analysis, and/or evaluation of health-related programs; OR an Associate's degree and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in public health or related field; working knowledge of epidemiology and public health surveillance systems; experience in data analysis using SAS, Excel and/or other analytical and data management tools; experience working with population- based data sets, disease registries and working with confidential data; ability to attend to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Data Analysis Unit and Core Surveillance managers, the incumbent will coordinate all activities related to the match of the HIV registry to AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) beneficiary data. This will involve: 1) participating in protocol development, IRB review and ADAP business agreement; 2) file preparation activities; 3) the conduct of the inaugural match and developing routine procedures for the ongoing activity; 4) collaborating with Case Surveillance to identify and assign for field investigation previously unreported (“new to the registry”) or uncertain status cases and monitoring the completion of surveillance activities; 5) in consultation with BHAE managers and ADAP staff, develop the reporting mechanism of required information to be transferred to ADAP; and, 6) participate in analysis and dissemination of the results of the match. Other related duties as assigned.
