Under general supervision, the Word Processor is responsible for conducting the full range of word processing operations, which includes working on a team in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline driven environment. Advanced Microsoft Office application skills, as well as advanced proofreading skills are required for this position.

Ability to accomplish tasks quickly and thoroughly with a high degree of accuracy and to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Ability to multi-task and take direction from the Resource Center Supervisor, attorneys, paralegals, secretaries and firm management.
Must have ability to work as a productive member of a team and contribute to continuous improvement of the department and services provided.
Must have advanced communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to quickly grasp procedures and processes and embrace change.
Must be a notary public or be willing and eligible to become a notary public.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates and edits complex documents/forms to specifications using advanced word processing and software knowledge.
Utilizes advanced document analysis skills.
Converts, manipulates, produces and formats documents using various software programs.
Utilizes document comparison software.
Performs complex editing.
Utilizes the following applications: MS Office 2007, Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, Nuance, Bookmarking, PacketBuilder.
Supports multiple offices throughout the U.S. and internationally as a team with all other Word Processors in the firm.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum Qualifications: High School graduate or
equivilent and at least three years experience in document production, or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Preferred Qualifications: College degree and experience in a law firm or professional services environment. Microsoft certification, Desktop Publishing, Corel, and Page Plus experience preferred.
