Accountable for executing all logistics relative to internal and external meetings for the Mutual Fund business unit.
Manage all aspects of internal and external meetings including making site recommendations, contractual negotiations, budgets, F&B selections, coordinating speakers and facilitators, developing agendas.
Authorized to sign contracts.
Work with outside investment management wholesalers in regard to securing time on agendas and sponsorships.
Work with Sales Managers and wholesalers pertaining to planning of due diligence and broker/dealers sponsored meetings. Develop agendas with Sales Manager and wholesalers.
Follow NASD, John Hancock Legal and Broker/Dealer compliance guidelines when creating meetings, providing premium items and correspondence.
Develop, organize and deliver internal and external meetings, conferences and training materials that meet the training and development needs of registered representatives across all channels of distribution.
Coordinate promotion and follow up of all events.
Subcontract when necessary to ensure achievement of cost-effective meetings to stay within or below each meetings budget.
Work with Marketing Event Planning Manager to obtain broker/dealer approval to extend invitations to registered representatives.
Work with Academy to ensure continuing education compliance is met.
Make cost effective recommendation of premium handout items and track inventory.
Coordinate with Sales Managers and National Accounts follow up promotion for all due diligence and sponsored meetings.
BS in Business or related field
NASD 6 & 63 desirable
2-4 years event management experience desired
1-2 years event management in financial industry
Knowledge and skills
Ability to work independently

Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform well under pressure
Strong organization and project management skills
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Basic understanding of Annuities, College Savings and managed account divisions and broker/dealer firms.
