The Event Planner will be responsible for coordinating and managing all logistical/operational details for LEM events. Specific job duties are but are not limited:

  • Manages logistics for Women of Faith conferences including air travel, ground transportation, accommodations, and catering for staff, speakers and VIPs.
  • Main contact for conference venue. Coordinates staffing, security, parking, custodial and all other venue-related functions with arena.
  • Negotiates expenses with transportation company, caterer, arena, and other vendors.
  • Disseminates conference information to staff, speakers, contractors and vendors.
Skills:
Preferred candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office and have the ability to prioritize and multitask. Will possess negotiation skills, good communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of personalities.

Experience:
Desired candidate will possess 2 - 5 years of event planning experience. CMP certification is desired but not required

Education:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required for this position. A bachelor’s degree in Meeting Management is desired but not required.
