Reporting to the Global Head of Events, the OW Events Coordinator will deliver professional events that are flawlessly executed. This role will cover the New York Office with the opportunity for growth.
§ Work with the Events Team, Office Leaders and local Social Committee to organize and support events such as:
o OW Day
o Holiday Party
o Local Social Activities – i.e. happy hours, volunteer outings, etc.
o Global Partner Meeting
o Regional Offsites
o Marketing Events, if required
o Practice Events/Offsites, if required
§ On-the-ground management and logistical coordination such as:
o Responsible for researching and finalizing venue space for NY based events including site visits, contracting additional vendors, and other event needs (entertainment, food & beverage, accommodations, transportation, etc.)
o Oversee contract negotiations, commitment and finalize payment with vendors
o Oversee NY communications – i.e. invite design, managing RSVP lists, and other general event communications
o Organization agenda/program details for NY specific events
o Management of local office budget and responsible for staying within budgetary requirements, tracking, reporting
o Oversee local social committee – making sure activities keep within budget and follow OW risk policy
o Work with local Office Leader and Social Committee to plan and execute the NY event calendar

§ Effective oral and written communication skills
We envision suitable candidates having a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of event planning experience required, including experience managing budgets
Travel required to attend some events
Proficiency with Powerpoint (advanced), Excel (advanced) and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamed with the ability to deal with people at all levels across a multicultural environment.
Team player who has experience of and has enjoyed working as part of a team.
