We are looking for individuals who:
Enjoy talking to anyone and everyone in their community about cultural exchange
Are interested in counseling international youth
Are self-starters who want to get part-time work and
Are passionate about wanting to change the world

CCI Greenheart offers two options for those interested in becoming a Local Coordinator (LC): 1) a Local Coordinator that monitors one or more exchange students for the academic year or one semester, or 2) a short-term groups local coordinator that monitors a group of students for up to 3 weeks.
CCI Greenheart Local Coordinators pledge to passionately and actively seek host families, to generously provide guidance and counsel to exchange students, to genuinely build relationships with schools, and to represent CCI Greenheart, along with other Greenheart programs, in a committed and professional manner.

Local Coordinator responsibilities include:
Identifying schools open to international exchange students and building relationships with school personnel.
Recruiting American families to host for an academic year or semester.
Matching host families with international students.
Providing orientations and group outings for international students and host families.
Acting as a support person and counselor for families and international students throughout the student’s stay in the U.S.

Local Coordinators not only build relationships with schools, and place and supervise international students and host families in the United States, but also act as a local source of information to American students wishing to study and travel abroad.

As an independent contractor working part-time, you earn stipends (taxes not withheld). You can earn up to $1,000 for each exchange student that you place with a host family and monitor throughout the year. Stipends are split into four payments: 1) at the time of placement after the LC has secured a school opening and found a host family, 2) in the fall 3) in the winter and 4) after the student has left the program.

Must be at least 26 years of age
Have access to a computer and the internet
Have access to a car or public transportation

At these conferences, Local Coordinators attend presentations and workshops designed to enhance their existing recruitment and counseling skills. Attendees also often have the opportunity to gain unique perspectives on the world by meeting and mingling with representatives of our international partner offices. But perhaps most importantly, CCI Greenheart conferences are an incredible opportunity for sightseeing, as they take place all over the world in vacation destinations such as Hawaii, Italy, Aruba, and Argentina.

Receive a discount on Greenheart Travel Abroad Programs. CCI Greenheart Local Coordinators are entitled to up to 10% discount on all Greenheart Travel programs including our Group Programs, called the ‘Local Coordinator Scholarship’. Local Coordinators, spouses and their children are eligible to receive the special discount, provided the Local Coordinator has placed or recruited at least one participant within the last 12 months.

As a Local Coordinator, you can play a part! You can be involved in a variety of ways:
Plan a Greenheart volunteer project for your student that involves social volunteering or environmental service projects.
Encourage and help your exchange student participate in the Greenheart Club and Greenheart Trips opportunities.
