This position is open only to:|
(1) Current Montgomery County Government employees;
(2) Montgomery County employees who were affected by reduction-in-force and currently have RIF priority rights;
(3) Active Montgomery County local fire and rescue department volunteers with at least 50 points under the length of service award program; or
(4) Active Customized Employment Public Interns or former Customized Employment Public Interns within 24 months of completion of internship.
Provides advanced administrative support to the OCP management by performing a variety of interrelated administrative duties including, developing and monitoring a complete system of office support services across all OCP programs, creating statistical reports, manipulating database tables, queries, and forms in preparing reports, responding to public inquiries related to department and County-wide services, and acting on correspondence and other documents, transmitting and explaining directives, staffing task forces and committees. In addition, this position directly responds to inquiries related to the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) transport reimbursement process. Develops and monitors customer service office procedures specifically related to EMS, general medical billing and collection issues, and other consumer related referral services; Serves as OCP's liaison to Department of Fire and Rescue (FRS) management, for-profit and other government agencies. Experience: Five (5) or more years of administrative aide experience.
Education: Completion of high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Preferred Criteria

1. Experience providing consumer regulatory and referral information.
2. Experience applying County, State, and Federal consumer protection laws.
3. Experience providing administrative services to senior management and management teams.
4. Experience using computer technologies to include Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office, Web Edit Pro, and Content Management System to develop tables, queries, statistical reports, etc.
