  • I. Basic Responsibilities

  • Administrative Assistant to Dean of the Graduate School
  • Administrative Assistant to the Assistant to Dean of Graduate School
  • Assistance with Continuing Education
  • Administrative assistance with Graduate Admissions & Recruiting
  • Administrative assistance with Graduate Marketing
  • II. Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

    A. Assistance to Dean and the Assistant to the Dean

  • Manage schedules, appointment request, travel, meetings, etc.
  • Manage information flow through the office
  • Manage budgets, run monthly reports, reconcile P cards
  • B. Office Management

  • Budget management and PAF’s
  • Student form processes
  • Manage and order office supplies
  • Admit and register non-degree students, advise as necessary
  • C. Special Projects

  • Maintain record of all GA’s, submit PAF’s each semester, report to Financial Aid
  • Maintain record of scholarships awarded each semester, report to Financial Aid
  • Order food for events: Grad Council, GSA events, etc.
  • GSA funding paperwork and reimbursements
  • Assist with graduation
  • III. Professional Development Requirements:

    A. Skills

  • Supervisory, training management, conflict resolution skills
  • Competent in computer skills and office machines
  • Telephone and customer service, event planning
  • B. Training Modules Required

  • Banner
  • Talisma
  • MS Office
  • Internet Research
  • IV. Qualifications:

    ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU.

    A. Professional

  • Minimum—Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in a related field
  • Computer skills
  • Customer service
  • B. Personal

  • Positive, outgoing personality and attitude
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Keep sensitive information confidential
  • C. Physical demands

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Bend, stoop, kneel frequently
  • Sitting and Standing for extended periods of time
