Position Overview

Executive Assistant will provide executive level administrative support to and multiple project coordination for the Ally Bank CFE. The incumbent must exercise independent judgment and initiative, accomplishing results with minimal direction. The duties are broad, varied and often confidential in nature.

Primary Responsibilities

Administrative Duties: (70%)

Develop and prepare documents (word processing, executive presentations, and spreadsheets, under minimal supervision exercising initiative and professional judgment. Manage schedules, travel arrangements, meeting set-up and expense budget.

Monitor due dates and deliverables from and to each of the executives.

Manage and prioritize their individual calendars and appointments and assure they are properly prepared for scheduled appointments.

Receive, screen and appropriately resolve external and internal inquiries (telephone and mail) in a prompt and professional manner.

Provide appropriate problem research and resolution/recommendation.

Develop and maintain appropriate tracking systems for contact information, strategic planning initiatives, performance reports and other business management information.

Organize files and reference binders.

Track open issues as assigned.

Outside presence/visibility: (30%)

Builds and maintains strong working relationships with the executive assistants of senior organizational contacts within and outside of the organization.

In response to specific requests, research electronic resources, hard copy resources and internet sites for current and relevant information e.g. on the marketplace, transactions (both Ally Bank and non-Ally Bank), competitors, rating agencies, investment banks, bond insurers, investors, technical updates, etc.

Assist/coordinate other projects as assigned.



Minimum 6 years experience as an Administrative Assistant to include executive administrative support to a senior executive at the corporate level.

Demonstrated results in application of broad business group knowledge.

Strong desire to work in a dynamic environment that will require personal growth and the constant acquisition of new skills.

Technical Competencies:
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Desire to develop additional skills in other software.
