The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co is responsible for the provision of legal and compliance services to the Corporation. The department also includes the Office of the Secretary.

Legal is organized by Practice Groups that conform to the organization of the Firm's lines of business (LOBs) and corporate staff areas, allowing the legal staff to work closely with specific groups on a daily basis. Each line of business has an LOB General Counsel, who is the Practice Group Head and who reports to the Firm's General Counsel. This structure provides the means for the legal teams to communicate legal and regulatory changes to the businesses and staff areas, and for the LOBs and staff areas to communicate business developments that have legal or regulatory implications to the legal teams in a timely manner.

As an executive assistant, you will perform diverse secretarial duties and administrative functions requiring confidentiality, initiative and sound decision-making for a senior legal executive. You will rely on excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities. You will need to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to the completion of assignments and in line with the department's activities and goals. Duties include coordinating meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, preparing presentation materials, assisting in handling logistics for critical initiatives/projects, ordering and maintaining supplies, submitting expenses and/or review incoming correspondence and prepare responses. You may provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members.


Strong PC skills (proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Exhibits increased proficiency in duties and expanded knowledge and application of software packages

Knowledge of general office procedures (e.g., filing, correspondence, scheduling)

Ability to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to the completion of assignments and responsibilities of senior executive

Strong interpersonal skills

Superior oral and written communication skills

Excellent telephone etiquette

Advanced ability to organize

Tact and good judgment in confidential situations and proven experience interacting with senior management

At least ten years of secretarial experience and meeting coordination
