Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Research this position is responsible for providing staff support, administrative assistance and project management support to the Senior Vice President, Research on matters pertaining to grants, conferences, lectures and meetings relating to research activities. Produces high quality, detailed and accurate reports, materials and special projects with prompt turnaround time. Coordinates the CHORI annual report and annual reviews. Assures deadlines are met and assures follow-up on all activities for which the Senior Vice President is directly responsible.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred. A degree in English, Business, Journalism or related field preferred.
At least five years of current and progressively responsible executive level administrative assistance experience required. Previous research experience preferred, particularly grant preparation and submission experience. Knowledge of scientific medical terminology highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in word processing and spread sheets within a Macintosh system. Ability to take and transcribe minutes at various meetings. Ability to create and compose business correspondence and reports. Previous experience with grant preparation and submission. Excellent communications skills both written and oral. Ability to prioritize work effectively. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work harmoniously within a diverse employee population and able to interact with all levels of staff within and outside of CHORI.
