Position Summary

The Office of the University Master Planner and Chief Architect is seeking a highly motivated, resourceful and dependable Executive Assistant who, under the general supervision of the University Master Planner and Chief Architect, will independently provide a wide range of administrative and support services requiring an advanced level of accountability, problem-solving and a thorough understanding of University policies and operations. This individual must preserve the confidentiality of administration by exercising discretion in performing assigned responsibilities, and have demonstrated interpersonal, communication and organizational skills as well as administrative management and computer experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 1) Bachelor's degree in business-related discipline or in area to be served; 2) three to five years of experience and proven ability in budget, personnel and administrative management; 3) excellent interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to deal effectively with internal and external constituents, such as senior administration and public officials; 4) excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to resolve administrative and personnel problems efficiently, effectively and independently; 5) the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously and reprioritize continuously; 6) strong computer skills including knowledge of most Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; and 7) strong written and oral communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who possess any of these desirable qualifications: 1) a high proficiency in Microsoft Word and experience with production of large, complex documents utilizing advanced features such as track changes, footnotes and endnotes, tables of contents, and hyperlinks; 2) experience with the Kuali Financial System; 3) knowledge of accounting practices and principles and experience in financial record-keeping and reporting; 4) experience providing administrative support in Higher Education or similar professional academic environment.

Appointment Terms

This is a full time, permanent position. Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
