Candidates for the position must possess the following:

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by College-level course work in secretarial science or related field

Eight years of increasingly responsible secretarial or administrative assistant experience involving frequent public contact.

California Driver’s License

1. Current Typing Certificate
2. One current letter of reference from a current or former management level executive that you personally work(ed) for describing your level and ability to perform highly responsible and confidential secretarial and administrative duties

Attendance at County Board of Education meetings to record and take meeting minutes. Prepare Board agendas, transcribe meeting minutes, and other items requested by the Board. Take and transcribe dictation for the County Superintendent. Compose a variety of correspondence for County Board Members and County Superintendent, including matters of a confidential nature. Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
