PLEASE NOTE: This position will be based out of Ashland Community Hospital in Ashland, OR
The Executive Assistant provides a broad range of administrative and secretarial support. Within general operating procedures, exercises independent judgment and discretion in such tasks as making appointments; receiving and screening visitors and telephone calls; and scheduling and coordinating meetings. Composes routine and special correspondence, and records and distributes meeting minutes as required. May provide administrative and event coordination to accomplish specified projects.
In this role, the Executive Assistant must possess a thorough knowledge of office procedures, business and medical terminology, spelling composition and mathematics; strong computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; the ability to make decisions independently and in accordance with established policies; the ability to solve complex scheduling and prioritization tasks; the ability to work under pressure of deadlines and frequent interruptions; and the ability to communicate and interact with executives, employees, visitors, patients and medical staff in a professional manner.
In addition to providing support to the CEO and CFO at Ashland Community Hospital, the Executive Assistant in this role will also do physician credentialing/re-credentialing, and Board relations (including doing minutes for Board meetings.
Education: Associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required (2 additional years of relevant experience if no AA degree). College or business school secretarial training, Vocational or AA degree in Business Administration is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of five years advanced secretarial office experience in a fast paced, professional environment is required. Experience in a healthcare environment is highly preferred - specifically physician credentialing experience, as well as Board relations experience .
