The executive assistant shall be responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the senior or executive vice president. In this capacity the individual will be responsible for appointment scheduling, preparing internal and external correspondence, assisting in the development of presentations, employing effective organizational skills and ensuring customer-focused communication.
High school diploma; associates degree in business/secretarial field preferred.
A minimum of ten years administrative assistant experience required.
Demonstrated ability to type letters/forms/documents with complete accuracy.
PC and Windows skills required. Familiarity with PowerPoint and Visio preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including correct grammar and punctuation, as well as the ability to create correspondence, respond to requests in a timely manner, and the appropriate exchange of information.
Effective organizational and time-management skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple projects, coordinate meetings, coordinate events, establish filing systems and develop office procedures. Effective teamwork skills coordinating with, supporting and interacting with other clerical support personnel.
Exhibit initiative, creativity and self-motivation, with ability to effectively solve problems as they arise and implement suggestions to improve the functioning of the department.
Competent and courteous telephone manner, with focus on serving the customer.
Working knowledge of human resources preferred.
Competent and knowledgeable in working with financial numbers.
Understands the importance of maintaining the physical and technical security and privacy of protected health information (PHI).
Ability to assume responsibility and maintain confidentiality.
Maintains confidentiality and uses only the minimum amount of protected health information (PHI) necessary to accomplish job related responsibilities.
Perform other duties as requested. Every associate is given a job description upon hire outlining the qualifications, duties, and pay grade of the position.
