Safeco Insurance is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Executive Assistant to provide direct administrative support to the Senior Vice President of National Field Operations and the Vice President of Agency Capabilities & Analytics. This high profile role will support and collaborate with Safeco’s senior executive management team on a daily basis and is an excellent opportunity for a highly energetic and self-directed professional with the desire to join our successful and dynamic company.

Key responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects and priorities while exhibiting calmness, anticipating potential issues, and professional savvy

Utilize your expert administrative, follow through, and organizational skills to schedule meetings and appointments, coordinate domestic travel arrangements, screening and responding to incoming phone calls and inquiries

Exercise tact and discretion while handling confidential information in both written and verbal forms

Prepare, proofread, and edit documents, presentations, and reports using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Establish, organize, and maintain files and records

College degree preferred and a minimum five years administrative experience covering a broad range of increasingly complex duties in a large division or company

Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint; Microsoft Office certifications a plus

Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently

Ability to be an independent thinker, anticipate and address needs and issues before they arise.

Experience planning and coordinating large events for internal audiences and partnering with external business partners to execute significant community and corporate sponsorship events.

Must be self-directed, take initiative, and assume ownership of projects and assignments.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including telephone and e-mail etiquette.

Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

Ability to maintain professionalism and good judgment at all times.

Exceptional organizational, follow-up and problem-solving skills.

High degree of accuracy with reports, correspondence, and other documents.
