DESCRIPTION

The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support and coordination for the Equity Principal of the Defined Benefit Administration business unit within Milliman's Southern Employee Benefits practice.

DUTIES

  • Proactively manage Principal's calendar, appointments, project plans, expenses, time entry, email, voicemail, and travel arrangements with limited supervision
  • Draft, review, summarize, maintain and/or distribute various documents, reports, presentations, meetings, and other communications as directed by the Principal
  • Coordinate complex in-person or virtual meetings for both internal and external participants, including scheduling, travel arrangements, materials preparation, and facilities preparation
  • Quickly and accurately perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Principal
  • Take initiative with other administrative details and routine issues independently
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Resolve straightforward to moderately complex problems and issues under general supervision
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and projects
  • Effectively manage personal workload and priorities
  • Proactively develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal/external contacts to effectively execute the responsibilities of the position
  • Develop and maintain solid knowledge of firm-wide policies, procedures, and management relationships
QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of administrative assistance experience to a senior level executive
  • Anticipatory problem solver with attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • High level of organizational skills and ability to work quickly and accurately (constant attention to detail)
  • Ability to manage competing demands in a fast paced environment while being adaptable and flexible
  • Strong initiative with an ability to work independently under limited supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executives and staff
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining confidential and sensitive information
  • Available outside of core work schedule on occasion
  • High proficiency with MS Outlook and MS Office, including Excel and Access
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • Experience in a consulting environment is a plus
