The Developer Experience (DX) unit is looking for an Executive Assistant to support the Senior Vice President. This position is based in Burlington, Massachusetts.

The Developer Experience organization plays an important role in Nokia’s vision to create great mobile products that sense the world. The team supports key pillars in the Nokia strategy, connecting the next billion to the Internet and apps, and building a winning ecosystem with our partner Microsoft. The unit serves the entire developer ecosystem across both Lumia and Asha product lines. The mission of Developer Experience is to offer developers the most profitable app distribution and monetization opportunities and delivering the most personally relevant app experiences to consumers. This is both an exciting and challenging environment.

You should have experience working in a globally dispersed and multicultural organization, and be comfortable working with multiple time zones (US west coast, Europe and Asia). You have 10 plus years of experience as an assistant or other relevant work.

You have business acumen and an ability to understand an organization and ways of working. You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills and excel at working independently. You have the ability to communicate with internal and external contacts (customers, media, analysts, etc). Standard of deliverables should consistently be of high quality and a sense of urgency is critical.

The main role of Executive Assistant is to support the SVP in tasks listed below as well as on a broader context. It is an important role supporting the success of the entire DX team.

Key Tasks

Personal assistance to the SVP

Calendar and time management prioritization for the SVP


meetings and events, meeting facilities and follow up activities.(travel may be required)

Critical interface with internal and external constituents

Plan and arrange complex travel itineraries, schedules and process expenses

Screen incoming calls and correspondence, prioritizing and responding as appropriate

Seek updates and provide information, constantly adjusting as priorities require

Provide support in producing/produces presentation and other material

Maintain professional and productive working relationships with peer group across Nokia in order to increase overall effectiveness of SVP and his organization


Energetic and open-minded senior level executive assistant with a positive attitude

Flexible, service-minded and a willingness and interest in learning

Ability to work independently and proactively, anticipating the needs of the SVP and his organization well in advance

Behaving consistently in line with the Nokia values

Excellent skills in planning and organizing. Comfortable dealing with complex calendars and schedules; delivering quality and results to agreed standards, planning ahead and working in a systematic and organized way with attention to detail

An effective problem solver, you can keep things under control in a hectic environment, even when under pressure

Strong communication skills and a demonstrated track record of building strong working relationships

Proactively looks for ways to develop and improve daily working methods

Proficient at using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Nokia IT tools

Able to summarize presentation content

Proficient at using Microsoft PowerPoint


Proficient in web based research on topics on the Web,

Excellent written and verbal skills in English

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), management assistant program or equivalent experience


Willingness to travel to support management team meetings, off site events etc.
