We are seeking an Executive Assistant to support a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks in Spectrum’s Corporate Office in Newport News, Virginia. Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, the successful candidate will work independently, with little or no supervision, while successfully maintaining professionalism and the highest level of confidentiality in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a person who is exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoys the administrative responsibilities associated with supporting a growing business of diverse people and programs. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making abilities and attention to detail are equally important.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Exercise independent judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with senior-level company managers, technical staff members as well as employee-customers and outside customers.
  • Act as main POC for President and Executive Vice President, scheduling appointments/meetings and maintaining executive calendars and contacts
  • Create and send out executive correspondence
  • Schedule and coordinate travel arrangements for corporate President and Vice President(s)
  • Assist in planning and coordinating of corporate events
  • Flexibility to travel including overnight trips and occasional weekends
  • Culture Focused Activities
· Assist in planning training events

· Employee appreciation events

· Coordinate/Execute monthly Spectrum Foundation Luncheons

· Corporate Giving Liaison
  • Must exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times
Required / Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree, preferred
  • 3 or more years of experience supporting at the executive/senior management level, preferred
  • Professional presentation and communication skills, both written and oral, required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, required
  • Experience planning meetings and events, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, required
  • Ability to attain and maintain a Secret Clearance, required
