his individual is responsible for anticipating and executing on the complex, dynamic needs of senior executives
This poised and polished assistant will manage complex calendar scheduling, travel logistics, meeting planning and coordination, and communication with a wide variety of internal and external contacts at all levels. The Executive Assistant plays a critical role in managing the smooth functioning of the office and must handle multiple demands, tasks and priorities with finesse and flawless judgment. The successful candidate will have a collaborative work style, be exceptionally well organized, effectively multi-task, prioritize, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. This position requires extensive use of judgment, intuition, and self-management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule and manage extremely demanding Outlook calendars
Interact frequently and successfully with Senior Executives and other Executive Assistants across Yahoo! on various matters
Communicate effectively and smoothly with executives and their assistants from outside companies—contacts will include customers, clients, corporate partners, and media and technology industry leaders.
Arrange and coordinate complex travel schedules, accommodations and all trip logistics
Arrange business meetings and offsite conferences
Arrange speaking engagements
Coordinate timing and logistics of staff meetings and a variety of other Yahoo! meetings, and prepare meeting materials ahead of time
Organize meetings, WebEx, videoconference, and conference calls
Screen and route telephone calls in a professional manner
Read/prioritize email and mail
Type and distribute correspondence
Reconcile invoices and expense reports
Develop an understanding of the department’s operations, policies and procedures
Special projects, as needed and directed
Compile special reports, letters, and memos using various software tools such as Microsoft Office products
Handle and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
Multi-task and work on many tasks or projects simultaneously
Strategic thinking; Understand business and industry and see the “big picture”
Skills, Characteristics and Experience Required:
Minimum of 5 years of high level, complex executive administration work experience
BA/BS degree, or equivalent experience
Expertise with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to execute effectively against multiple projects and deadlines
Experience making complex domestic and international travel arrangements
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of staff and executives within the company
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written involving high-level communications with internal and external contacts; ability to listen and simplify details depending upon target audience; ability to influence others;
Exceptional ability to organize work and tasks; attention to detail and excellent follow-through
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and exercise independent/sound judgment
Demonstrated passion for learning new things, continuous improvement, sharing best practices
Direct experience dealing with sensitive and conflicting situations in a diplomatic manner; manage and de-escalate conflict appropriately, know when to delegate issues upward.
Proven time management skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced environment and remains cool under pressure
