The Home Business Unit is currently seeking an Executive Director, Client Development. This position will provide strategic direction to the Client Development team, and is the lead decision-maker for Home Business Unit’s clients. He/She drives revenue and client programs, contributes to the development of new products, and is accountable for overall client satisfaction in terms of service, data analysis and deliverables. He/She is also responsible for managing, coaching and developing the Home Client Development team.

•Build strategic relationships with senior level client contacts to develop business insights regarding the clients’ most important business issues/needs, both short and long-term.
•Lead the contract negotiation process with the Home Business Unit clients in order to achieve/exceed revenue objectives for existing accounts.
•Provide recommendations to client leadership teams and product management teams, on matters such as promotional success, strategic brand management, and merchandising/plan-o-gramming, based on market research analysis.
•Demonstrate usage of category point-of-sale data to objectively partner with manufacturers to help them grow their business and gain market share.
•Enhance manufacturer and retailer collaboration through the use of NPD Account Level Reports (ALRs) in line reviews and joint business planning.
•Understand the dynamics of each client’s organization and penetrate the account base to identify applications for NPD products and services.
•Lead a multi-level client development staff, while actively contributing to the effectiveness, development and satisfaction of the team.
•Partner with support departments and support teams to ensure success for the business.
•10+ years of experience within client services, account management or sales with a market research company, or Category Management experience within a manufacturer preferred.
•Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop a team.
•Ability to synthesize data and develop meaningful conclusions/insights using POS and consumer data.
•Strong presentation skills to with a high comfort level presenting to large groups and senior audiences.
•Demonstrated success in contract negotiations.
•Proven history of meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
•Ability to generate/support creative ideas and effectively sell those ideas.
•Travel typically 15-20%
