JOB SUMMARY

Scope of Position:
The Executive Meetings Manager’s primary responsibility is to work in all aspects of sales including but not limited to greeting/meeting prospects, scheduling property tours, processing contracts and all other sales related issues.

In addition to the above the Executive Meetings Manager will book small group business (10 – 20 room nights on peak) that generates group room and food and beverage revenues by soliciting existing accounts as well as developing new accounts according to goals assigned.

Requirements:


The successful candidate will have a degree in marketing or communication and previous sales experience (at least 3 years) in hospitality or related industry is preferred.



Individual must be detailed oriented, quality focused and resourceful with excellent verbal and written communication skills.



Must have effective planning and organizational experience to implement multiple projects and meet deadlines.



Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint and comfortable with the use of the internet as a research tool.



Should be professional, friendly, and able to interact well at all levels.

Responsibilities:


Book small meetings with 10 – 20 rooms on peak.



Group solicitation and sales calls whenever necessary.



Travel may be necessary.



Provide sales assistance to Group Sales Manager where necessary.



Schedule appointments and meet/greet prospects.



Collate sales collateral and monitor sales inventory and promotional material.



Prepare and conduct property tours, FAM’s etc.



Prospect for new group business and research business on-line



Respond to inquiries and “requests for proposals”



Process proposals, contracts, mailings etc.



Coordinate marketing projects and assist with member mailings.



Answer phones adhering to Turnberry Isle Miami telephone etiquette standards and deliver messages for Sales Managers.



Preparation and distribution of weekly/monthly reports including revenue management and sales reports.



Maintain in-depth account files in

Delphi

along with hard files



Assist in updating data base on a continual basis, audits conducted periodically



Understand sales strategies and tactics of competitor hotels



Negotiate all rates for small groups within the guidelines of our budgeted average group rates.



May be called upon to assist other departments within the Resort



Plan for and execute a predetermined number of sales trips/sales calls



Attend industry events as necessary



Establish a strong partnership with Turnberry Isle Miami GSOs and regional representation companies



Monitor operational execution of accounts with all departments



Research client room night histories for previous meetings and manage the room block for the time of the meeting until the meeting begins



Plan for and execute client presentations.



Interview, hire, train, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate



Responsible for receiving, processing and investigating complaints made per the existing harassment policy.
