The Executive Projects Coordinator (EPC) is a position designed to provide development of skills in intercollegiate sports administration. The EPC will support the Rice Director of Athletics (AD) and Athletics Senior Staff with the implementation and management of Athletics' initiatives and projects. The EPC will be responsible for the coordination of specified activities and ensure the timely flow of information to and from the AD's office. The EPC must have demonstrated experience in sports management and administration and the proven ability to (1) manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines, and (2) organize and maintain processes essential to the office. The incumbent also may have light financial and budgetary responsibilities, including control, planning and making recommendations.
The EPC also will use proficiency in writing and editing to create presentations, memoranda and response letters to Rice student-athletes (SA), parents, university officials, alumni, donors, and other constituents.
Experience may not be substituted for the education requirement.
Related office experience (including undergraduate internship experience).
May substitute additional related education on an equivalent year for year basis in lieu of the experience requirement.

Strong computer literacy required including knowledge and application of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint.
