Provides administrative support to department heads including maintaining calendars, preparing reports, making recommendations, responding to complaints, coordinating the work flow of the administrative team and department and acting as a liaison between UMC and other department heads, government officials and community groups.
Equivalent to graduation from high school and three (3) years of secretarial experience in support of management staff.
Some positions may require Notary Public Certification.
Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements:
A minimum of two (2) years recent secretarial experience in support of management staff in medical setting. Expert skill level in MS Word and Excel. Prior work experience as a timekeeper in using Time and Attendance software. Able to type at least 50wpm. Successful candidate may be required to pass an aptitude test.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, stamina to remain seated for extended periods of time, vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen, and hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
