Executive Support Engineer to support Agency Executives and general customers on the JRDC Program located at Headquarters, US Missile Defense Agency on Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
The Executive Support Engineer will be a computer engineer in a Tier II-III support environment. The Executive Support Engineer will support Senior Executive Service members, General Officers, Flag Officers, Military officers at the O-5 rank or higher and federal civil servants. The Executive Support Engineer will report to the Executive Support Services Team Lead at Fort Belvoir, VA. Will support, as part of a team, 45 Agency Executives and 570 other customers located across multiple sites in the NCR as well as offsite. During low activity points, the Executive Support Engineer must contribute to remote work and resolution with their teammates at other work sites. Position includes Hardware Engineering, COMSEC Support, Software Troubleshooting, assisting in Network Engineering with minor project work such as writing white papers, executing manual desktop installations, researching problems and proactively conducting maintenance for customers as well as contributing to enterprise projects. This Executive Support Engineer will work with both high and low degrees of oversight and will be required to report back on a daily basis.
Qualifications:REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5 years experience. At least 3 years experience with strong senior level customer service, specifically in a DoD environment.
Experience in metrics-based work execution is required.
Familiarity with the ITIL framework. Must be able to work with no supervision while reporting to a manager in Washington DC.
Must have CompTIA Security + certification, or have the ability to obtain within 60 days. A Network + certification or A+ certification may be substituted for a Security +.
Must be willing to work infrequent weekends and occasional long shifts. Must be willing to occasionally travel to surrounding sites in the HSV area.
Candidate must have demonstrated abilities in the following areas: Hardware Engineering, Network Engineering, Software Troubleshooting, Task Management, Documentation and an ability to execute tasks and troubleshoot based on incomplete, imperfect and/or incorrect information.
Will be an experienced, seasoned computer engineer in a Tier II-III support environment.
The candidate must be presentable, well-spoken, confident in their skills and able to work around people of various backgrounds. The candidate must be able to work effectively with little supervision and operate in a complicated, multi-tiered, multi-location organization within a team environment.
Must have a DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain.
