General Ledger

Key member of monthly financial closing team; prepares and processes monthly journal entries and account analysis; collects, reconciles, and archives all monthly journal entry activity; maintains direct deposit accounts; reconciles and distributes petty cash for the Shelton office and audits petty cash reimbursements made to all other company location’s.

Documents biweekly wire transfers by company for Assistant Controller’s review.

Prepares monthly wire transfer analysis to comply with SOX requirements and assist with bank reconciliations.

Travel & Expense

Reviews and processes employee expense reports intrepreting and enforcing our T&E policy and ultimately determining what expenses fall within policy or an allowable exception which should be reimburseable. Provides guidance and clarity to employees on T&E requirements.

Assists with maintaining our Concur travel and expense solution while also providing support to employees on the booking tool and automated expense report process.

Regularly communicates with employees from all functions.

Assists the corporate finance department as needed.

Required Experience:
Capability to comprehend basic accounting principles

Strong written and oral communication skills, proficiency in Excel for multiple data anlysis requests

Ability to balance multiple priorities, detail oriented and organized

Ability to use judgment in applying company policy to travel situations that arise on an individual basis

High School diploma or GED. Accounting or Finance degree preferred.

2-4 years corporate finance and travel expense reporting experience
