Job Title: Experienced PC Service Technician (Full Time)
Reports to: Office Manager
Location: Naperville, IL

What we are looking for:
As a Service Technician, you will work directly with the Tech Lead and support the Sales Division. In particular, you will act as part of a foundational force of our Tech Service team, as you will be responsible for the troubleshooting of customer technology.

What you should be able to do:
Desktop and laptop troubleshooting:

  • Proficient in hardware assembly and disassembly
  • Proficient in diagnostics processes
  • Proficient in data backup/transfer and HDD partition/management
  • Proficient in software/driver installation and updates
  • Virus/Malware/Adware/Spyware removal

Desktop:

  • Hardware replacement (Power supply/Motherboard /HDD etc)
  • Hard disk replacement
  • Hard drive data back up or restore
  • Familiar with Windows XP /Vista/Win7 or Win 8

Notebook/Laptop:

  • Replace motherboard
  • Replace power jack (Soldering)
  • Replace LCD screen and test
  • Hard disk replacement
  • Hard drive data back up or restore
  • Familiar with Windows XP /Vista/Win7 or Win 8

Smartphone and Tablet:

  • Screen replacement

Other tasks:

  • Handling customer-sensitive data, ensuring accuracy and precision in service
  • Coordinating parts/order requests
  • Checking for and maintaining knowledge of order progress
  • Communicating invoice updates, corrections and stock
  • Managing and meeting deadlines for invoice submission
  • Spotting and correcting information errors on invoices

What you're like:

  • High school or college associate degree
  • At least two years technician experience
  • Extremely organized with an impeccable eye for detail
  • Reliable for efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly and multi-task, you can juggle several tasks with ease
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Dependable for providing essential support to a team and excellent communication
  • Comfortable with working well under pressure
  • Effective problem solver and able to navigate through any situation
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to take on additional responsibilities
