John Deere is currently seeking Product Engineers for multiple positions within our Construction and Forestry Division, in Dubuque, IA.
These openings represent mid career opportunities for experienced professionals with 3+ years of experience.
What You'll Do
As a Product Engineer for our Construction and Forestry (C&F) division you will be exposed to a wide variety of projects that rely on your expertise in every phase, from concept design, analysis and experimentation to product improvement.
Our engineers use advanced technology to design and test our equipment to ensure that we bring the most advanced innovations to our products. The equipment you may work on includes; crawlers, skid steers, articulated dump trucks, motor graders, backhoes, 4WD Loaders, skidders, and feller bunchers - just to name a few!
We have a variety of areas in which you can specialize; powertrain, hydraulics, drivetrain, finite element analysis, structures, engines, cooling systems, electrical systems, electrical drive, embedded software, and telematics.
What It Takes
We need an excellent communicator with leadership potential who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Agricultural or Aerospace Engineering. In addition we require:
3+ years of product engineering experience in a design, test, or analysis role.
A strong candidate will also have experience in one or more of the following areas;
Finite Element Analysis
Experience with similar off-highway mobile equipment is also desired.
