Key Risk Management Services, LLC, a subsidiary of W.R. Berkley Corporation is a leading Southeastern workers compensation insurance company and third party administrator. We are seeking application for the position of Workers Compensation Claim Professional for our Greensboro, NC office. This claim professional will be responsible for technical file management of workers compensation claims and account management. The position requires frequent interaction with an account’s designated contacts, i.e. Case Managers, medical providers, injured workers, and attorneys and internal.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in adjusting North Carolina and South Carolina workers compensation claims
- Four-year college degree
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Evidence of self-motivation
- Well defined interpersonal skills
Course work in business law and insurance is desirable, but not required.
RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE
Assume full responsibility for all phases of account management for accounts as assigned and inform management of any unfavorable trends. Conduct the required investigation on all workers compensation claims assigned. Handle all technical aspects of claims including coverage, disability benefit management, medical management, file management, litigation management, subrogation, reserving and settlement. Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of the Maryland Workers Compensation Act and its rules and regulations. Requires frequent interaction with the account’s designated contact, case managers, medical providers, claimants and attorney. This position is required to manage a variety of cases ranging from minimal to high exposures. Attend mediations. Attend client visits and claim reviews.
