The Expert’s role is to provide a fair and square experience for our customers around specialty products by possessing in-depth product knowledge that can enhance and enrich customer’s lives to deliver on the mission of being America’s Favorite Store.
Responsibilities:
Assists and educates customers – You seek out customers and do whatever you can to make their experience GREAT. You listen, you help, you educate, and you make them want to come back! You educate them about the specialty product attributes.
Supports a learning environment – You love to learn and you ask questions of your peers. You also seek out new ways to do your job better every day. You share your knowledge of products by training other team members.
Sets the Merchandise – You handle the merchandise and place it throughout the store in a way that appeals to customers and make their buying decision an easy one. Executes all point-of-sale responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency while problem solving any complicated return/exchange transactions.
Skills and Characteristics:
Passion for Product – Proactively seeks out new information from all relevant sources about products to magnify your expertise. Understands the finer details of product construction.
People Skills – You are outgoing and have no problem striking up a conversation with complete strangers. You like working in a team environment where you help your peers and they help you!
Influence – You speak in a confident, assertive manner that can sway an individual’s action.
Attitude – You are a “half-glass full” type of person. You can take any situation and make it a positive.
Motivation – You have an internal drive to be fantastic. There’s no one that works harder than YOU!
Adaptability – You are a chameleon. You can change directions on a dime. You can do something one day and do it completely differently the next without missing a beat.
Passion for Retail – You love the retail environment. You love being on your feet, moving around, handling merchandise, and making people HAPPY!
