Consistently and profitably grow sales and maximize gross margins in export sales by creating and implementing an export business plan identifying, prioritizing and visiting customers and business opportunities, selling a wide variety of products within diverse industry segments outside of the United States with initial focus on Mexico, South America and the Caribbean.
Creates and executes export sales and marketing plan for growth.
Communicates professionally with foreign customers and prospects, providing full information for all questions asked and providing answers for anticipated additional likely questions.
Pro actively manages export opportunities nationally (any branch) by establishing rules of engagement with sales management.
Travels to internationally to understand foreign markets and generate demand.
Maintains relationships with established customers.
Works with export inside sales to ensure all necessary export shipment documentation is completed as required.
Stays current in export laws and regulations as well as licenses and tariffs and restrictions.
Writes quotations when appropriate and performs follow-up.
Uses ACS tools to document all customer contact and sales activities.
Updates customer database routinely.
Works with Marketing and Bus Dev to implement marketing campaigns and create necessary marketing collateral and other sales tools.
Meets or exceeds established sales and gross margin dollar goals.
Continually evaluates export business potential to insure focus on the "right" accounts.
Develops and updates written sales strategy for export with annual forecast and Ryan Herco sales philosophy.
Prepares and submits a weekly sales call plan to with goal of maximizing exposure to export customers.
Establishes, develops and maintains multiple customer relationships to gain a wide base of support within each account.
Allocates majority of selling time to develop new business while maintaining existing business.
Regularly communicates with Inside Export Sale on sales strategy progress and problem resolution.
Supports a positive, enthusiastic team approach to sales.
Establishes and updates appropriate discount profiles on all accounts within territory.
Continually improves upon product/sales skills and market/application knowledge.
Understands market dynamics and keeps abreast of current economic developments.
Maintains a high degree of professionalism at all times.
Attends product and sales training meetings as required.
