Export Services Coordinator:
Description & Purpose:
This position will be responsible for the daily execution of international customer orders originating in the United States and Canada. They will also be responsible for supporting the sales organization in relation to new customer and country development. The coordinator will interact and gain the support of other internal departments. Through execution they will help support the compliance requirements for International Business.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinate export activities for our overseas customers, process international orders, and review all international export documentation.
Maintain communications with customers, International Sales, Compliance, Supply Chain, and Shipping personnel to ensure highest levels of customer service.
Solve problems related to current status of open orders, orders needing to be expedited, or orders that may need to be traced while in transit.
Interact and cooperate with every level of the organization to ensure the highest level of service to our customers.
Respond to inquiries received by customers and International Salesforce relating to product availability, export regulations, and shipping.
Responsible for accurate, complete and timely processing of customer’s orders.
Resolve all customer issues.
Report on open orders and status of international shipments.
Participate in the proper set up of customers, products and documentation requirements to specific countries and monitor that all are finalized prior to the execution of the order management process.
Ensure products meet the requirements of export and all special requirements are met.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with all functions involved in the export process
Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's degree - business degree desirable.
Two to five years’ experience in Export Services or similar functions for a global organization.
Experience with export documentation, freight forwarders and handling of international shipments.
Secondary language a plus.
Previous experience in operations, logistics, customer service, or other related functions desirable.
Must have excellent technical, analytical and computer skills.
Must have proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access).
SAP ERP system experience a plus.
Strong written and verbal communications capabilities.
Highly organized professional, who can multi-task and motivate diverse teams to achieve a common goal.
Excellent work ethic. Strong commitment to delivering exceptional quality and customer service.
Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a high paced environment with a strong attention to detail, and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
